A Letter from Your School Counselor  

Hi, welcome to the Counselor’s Corner!  My name is Jackie Barner and I am the counselor here at ACA.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been in the counseling field for over 15 years.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Central Baptist College as well as a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Henderson State University.  My husband and I have been married for over 15 years and we have four children, all of whom attend ACA.  We are members of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where I lead the KiDS Town ministry for grades K-3.

My goal as a school counselor is to provide academic and emotional support to all students, throughout their academic career at ACA.  The counselor’s office is a place students can come for academic guidance, college and scholarship information and career guidance, as well as a place to share their concerns about academic, emotional, and social problems.
